As we all know kids are going to fake sick to get out something whether it's going to school or not doing any chores. Well with Kaitlin, it's different. She fakes like she is well so she can participate in activities because she knows that if she shows any signs of illness, she will be at the house in the bed. My cousin's daughter was having a birthday party at Urban Air and she invited the kids to her party. The party was scheduled on a Saturday afternoon and on Friday after school, Kaitlin started showing symptoms of being sick with having low energy. Nic and I both asked her if she was feeling okay and she stated she was fine. She acted like she was fine the day of the party and she had a burst of energy as soon as we arrived to the party. They all had the time of their lives at the party. Kaleb did the activities he wanted and Kaitlin along with Nic jumped around. I sat and watched them have fun. I have vertigo since being diagnosed with sepsis in 2022 so I'm very cautious about certain activities that may trigger it. Once we left Urban Air, Kaitlin fell asleep in the car when we made a quick stop on the way home. I knew something was wrong because she rarely falls asleep in the car unless she's extremely tired or not feeling well. When we got home, she finally said she didn't feel well and she wanted to lie down in my room. She got in the bed and took a nap. It was then that Nic and I realized that she faked not being sick so she could go play at the birthday party.
